Paradise City Poem by Sarah Maples

Paradise City

People may drag you down.
They may ruin your name.
Or even destroy your lifelong foundation.
But stop them in their paths
and prove to them that they will
NEVER drag, ruin, or destroy you as a person.
Show them you are the one
that built and found yourself
throughout all the obstacles life through at you.
You dogded those just like you will these.
So use the obstacles as a stepping stone.
Pick yourself back up.
Make a better name for yourself.
And most of all REBUILD your foundation
to be a mansion in paradise
that no one can touch...
