Cry Poem by Cassiel Smith

Cry

In shadows deep, where no light shines bright,
A soul trapped inside its own endless night.
The weight of silence, a burden to endure,
Invisible chains, too heavy to bear.

Do you already know the feeling, while tears long to glide,
However silence grips tight, refusing to permit cross?
Below the covers, in a world of disguise,
A façade of strength, though interior it cries.

The pillow stained with the tears unshed,
A silent plea for the chaos within the head.
Praying for solitude, no inquiries to pry,
Because the purple hue fills the weary eye.

Cry, allow all of it out, surrender the fight,
Fear of the self, in the uselessness of night.
Craving now not to be carried away in melancholy,
But drowning in doubts, suffocated via air.

Words trapped within, not able to fly,
Screams muted, swallowed via the sky.
Lost inside the maze of a thoughts long gone off beam,
Calling to god, however they appear far away.

Echoes of noise, hoping to break free,
But met with fear, an unwelcome decree.
Trapped inside oneself, a solitary plea,
In a world where even echoes can not be free.

Do you know the feeling, when tears long to flow,
However silence grips tight, refusing to let go?
Inside the depths of the mind, wherein fears roam free,
A soul cries out, hoping someone will see.
