Telephone Poem by Sweet Carolina

Telephone

Telephone

If heaven had a telephone
oh my dear yaiyai
the way your line would ring.

The angel Raphael
would tell me to stop calling.

On your birth day
and every holiday
in between.

I would call you and sing
jingle bells, trick or treat,

went to sleep.

if heaven had a telephone
I wouldn't have to wait
so long until we meet.

I can only imagine

And is there gold?
….everywhere throughout?

Or when I start giving you
all the earthly tea
you would remind me
to stop gossiping
…, but keep on listening.

I know you would
be busy too
cuz you gotta track
all the folks praying.

And when I remind you
mines coming through
at three
you be like sis
"that's cheating"
but somehow
…. I get all my blessing.

if only heaven had a telephone
